This week Filter Magazine are hosting the release party for Gorillaz new album 'Plastic Beach' - with giveaways. We'll be playing some tracks from the album early in the night.

Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem will becoming by to play a DJ for us - We love Nancy because not only is she a member of one of our favorite bands, but she works with some of our other favorite bands like Soulwax (she supplied vocals for NY Excuse and E-Talking) and The Juan Maclean (providing vocals for basically his whole last album)...
She Also likes to DJ occassionally - which is lucky for us!!

Matt+Maia and Joshua Glazer will also be spinning...

Wolfgang Gartner is one of the most promising and fastest rising acts in electro house right now - recently signed to MSTRKRFT's management, his tracks have been plastered all over the very best music blogs, and he has had a #1 Beatport hit (with Wolfgang's 5th Symphony - which is sick) and three other top ten Beatport hits. This guy has been asked to remix everyone from Timbaland to MSTRKRFT to Britney Spears (?) - and his own original work which is some of cleanest, funkiest, most adrenaline-inducing electro house we have ever heard. The guy is unfeasibly talented. To us, he sounds like Daft Punk meets Deadmau5 with a dash of something special (let's call it the x factor for want of a better word).

Local hipster favorites, Designer Drugs will be supporting - these guys are making great original music right now that you need to hear. They have remixed Annie, N.A.S.A. and Little Boots among many others and they are making a big name for themselves around the country.

Jesse Jamz + disko dali + Joshua Glazer (Mid City West, URB.com-Los Angeles) will also be deejaying.

On Thurday, March 18th, New York will be blessed with the return of Parisian musical wonder-duo NOZE, who will be playing their highly acclaimed Live act. The creators of hits such as "Kitchen" and "Remember Love" are longtime crowd-pleasers who know how to keep the dance floor busy.

These guys have also done some great remixes for the likes of Who Made Who and Franz Ferdinand that you should check out.

Variety shows and Burlesque shows are not always our preferred form of entertainment, but Randy Weiner's shows at The Box have reached legendary status and a notoriety that is all-too rare in New York these days - so when we were asked if we wanted to offer reduced admission tickets to his new project (with collaborator, the esteemed Alfred Preisser) "Caligula Maximus" we couldn't say no.

Caligula Maximus takes place on the last night of the notorious dictator's life, in his palace where he is stage managing, directing, and starring in one of his famous "entertainments" which test the limits of human intellect and appetite.
